Welcome
to Kevin's School House
Kevin Daw

Welcome!
My name is Kevin Daw. I am a junior at Valdosta
State
University, and currently
enrolled in the Early
Childhood Education program. I plan to graduate
in
the spring of 2005.
I am from the small town of Elberta, Alabama, which
is
in the southern part of the state. I graduated high school from Foley High in 1986 and
joined the United
States Air Force in 1988. I
spent the first twelve years of my adult life in the United States Air Force. During
those twelve years I was stationed in England and South Korea, along
with several stateside bases. My last duty assignment was Moody
AFB, which is located in Valdosta,
Georgia. I separated the Air Force in May 2000 with an
Honorable discharge. I met my wife, Lisa, while still on active
duty at Moody AFB. Lisa is a Georgia
native from Sylvester, which is in Worth County Georgia. She
graduated in December 1997 with a BS in Early Childhood Education and
is currently teaching fifth grade in the Valdosta City Schools.
We have recently been blessed with a new baby boy. He was born on
August 22 and his name is Zachary Lawrence. I have two other
wonderful children. Kyle Benjamin is eleven, and Jessica Lauren
is nine. They live in Gwinnett County with their mother.
My hobbies include fishing,
hunting, and most outdoor
activities. I must say I favor fishing over all other
hobbies. I grew up near the Gulf Coast and have fished most of my
life. During my last four or five years in the Air Force I
participated in many team bass tournaments, most of which I
organized along with my fishing partner. I was very
fortunate to have placed in the top three of all the tournaments I
fished with several first place winnings. The picture below is a
large Gulf Coast red fish I caught while fishing with my son
Kyle. It was caught around 20 miles off the coast of Keaton Beach, Florida and
weighed 17.5 pounds.
