I was born to a large family, three brothers and five sisters, being placed in the middle of nine children (fifth child). I have an older brother (Anthony), two older sister (Laverne, Joy), one younger brother (Dwayne) and two younger sisters (Dominique, Tanya), a sister (Portia) and a brother (Michael) are deceased. My parents (Vincent and Gwendolyn Thompson) are also deceased but has left me with many wonderful memories of our time together as a family. I also have many nephews and nieces. Growing up in Nassau, Bahamas was an experience I will always treasure because I was always surrounded by my immediate and extended family (lots of cousins). Today we remain close as adult friends and our children are now each others friends. It is always a joy to return to Nassau for a visit to not only see family but longtime friends. In 2001 upon completion of my doctorate degree, I felt a desire to remain in the U.S.A. and did so beginning my position here at VSU. A year ago I met the man (Jason Rowland) that I am now married to at the church I regularly attended. Here are some pictures of my great family. The Engagement Photos

Josh has been a wonderful addition to our home and has brought us such joy. Here are some pictures of the progress of his growth.
