i lost a couple dollars in my day
i found a couple more on the way
but it don't make me smarter it just takes me away
from what i'm trying to find no money can buy me that
i can have everything that i want right now
but i feel like i'm missing that
i miss a mind free as can be
and what i think don't define really me
it's what you do that makes you who you are
i had to learn it in a game quite far away from me
i ended up playing a cards with three wise men to the left of me
and each had eyes that burned holes through my head
they seemed to know that hand before i delt them cards on the table
they seemed to know what i said before it came out my wise and able

i asked a man what ya doing right now
he said i'm stuck here inside this dream
i can't get out but you can son now
so get to walking and don't come back
until you see youself being what you like
your mind thinking what you like
and doing just what you like
but remember that everybody got their right

it's not a militant thing to me

he looked at me and his eyes smiled bright
