Language Arts
Cyber Guides has a list of books for grades K-3. The list of books are linked to a site which has an introduction, the language arts standards, an Implementation Overview, and a Description of Materials, Activities and Websites to each book. The links contain lesson plans that go along with what was read in the book. This is a very good site with great information for teachers and parents. "What better way to build reading comprehension skills than with a good mystery? In every story readers must understand characters, identify causes and effects, note sequence, and draw inferences." Web English Teacher shows great ways to help students learn important literary concepts through reading. The side-bar is filled with tons of links for other activities too.

Reading
Reading Rainbow is a companion to the PBS children’s television show Reading Rainbow. Lamar Burton reads books on the show and takes the viewers on mini field trips to see how things are made. The web site is an online version of the show. There are many teacher and parent resources available on this site.
Encyclopedias For Projects is a list of encyclopedia information based around different themes studies in elementary school. Some of the encyclopedias discus things such as rocks, planets, and water systems.  Full of good information for projects and more!

Math
The Math Forum has links to resources for your classroom and resources for your career. The site has activities and projects for students, fun kid sites, and individualized lesson plans for teachers. The site includes a link for teachers to chat with other teachers about math and ways to teach math to young children. Math.com has homework help, practicing, tutoring, calculators, games, and more. This is a great site for teachers and especially students. This site is good for all grades because you can select the lesson you are working on, such as addition, subtraction, algebra, etc.

Social Studies
Kids Social Studies has lesson plans for grades K-6. Besides the lesson plans, teachers, students, and parents can also use the Parent Guides, K-6 Essential Questions, Research Guidance, Primary Documents, Newspapers & Periodicals, General Web Resources, and Maps & Atlases links. Social Studies Sources has all types of social studies subjects: Diversity, General History, Geography, Global Studies, Government, News Sources, U.S. History, and World History. This site has information for K-12 and also has some pre-k ideas and information.

Science
World of Science is for older students. This site has links associated with all of the aspects of science. The links are Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, and Mathematics. Each link has tons of information on the subject with great, useful information. How Stuff Works is for all ages. This site is really fun to look through for all kinds of information. This site has step-by-step of how things work. Examples of the how things work topics are: how love works, how stem cells work, how sleep works, etc.

Art
Artcyclopedia can be used by all upper level students. This site has a search engine that searches for artists by name, artworks by title, and locations of art museums. They also have art movements listed, such as: Abstract, Expressionism, Academic Art, The American Scene, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Arte Povera, The Arts & Crafts Movement, The Ashcan School, The Barbizon School, Baroque Art, Bauhaus, etc. Art products and resources for creative individuals from beginner to advanced was the cutest site. There are flower pot links to create art, study art, play art games, and teach art. This is a great site for students, teachers, and parents.

Music
Resources for Music Teachers has a lot of links of teachers and kids. These sites are dedicated to band, chorus and vocal, orchestra, classroom music and all music.  These sites provide an abundant amount of information for teachers and students.
The Music Connection has reference links that contain composers, instruments, and performers. They also have a link for teacher resources and products. Each link listed on this page opens a new page containing many links that deal with certain topics. Great site for kids and teachers!

Physical Education
PE Central has many different ideas and links from field day ideas to kids’ physical education quizzes. There is an adapted PE section for special education students as well. This is a good website with tons of great ideas. Physical Education Digest is a site for older students. This site has current issue articles, an article index from 1985 through 2003, free downloads, and links. This is a good site to incorporate technology with physical education.

Health and Hygiene
Health and Hygiene is a site for older students. This site has a lot of word but it talks about health and hygiene from the seventeenth century until now. This site has good information and gives you an idea about how things have evolved and changed. Child Fun is a site for kids and their parents. It has games, activities, and even songs like: When you cough or when you sneeze, will you think of others please. Use a tissue or your hand, so on friends your germs won't land.
