	Cloudy Day Sunny Day	Donald Crews	4-8 PreK - 1st grade	2003 Green Light Readers	The day starts off as a awful icky cloudy day as the day proceeds the sun pops out.  Quickly the children are able to head out and enjoy flying a kite or ride a bike. This is a cute rhyme book written by a Caldecott winner.
	And Then It Rained	Crescen Dragonwagon	4-8 Pre K - 1st grade	2003 Atheneum Books	Everyone was tired of all the rain. They had worn themselves out playing indoor and they peaked through the window to see the sun. They head out to roller blade and play outside and before they know it the sun beats down and gets hotter and hotter only to wish the sun would just go away.
	Sunny-Side Up	Patricia Reilly Giff  Blanche L. Sims	4-8 PreK -  1st grade	1986 Yearling Books	Bad news sets in when a group of young children realize that they don't get to spend time splashing in a cool swimming pool instead they have to attend summer school.  They plot to figure out how they will enjoy the rest of their summer.
	Sunny Numbers	Carol Crane; Jane Monroe Donovan	4-8 Prek - K	2001 Gale Group	This is a great book for counting. It is a book which uses items such as animals,  people and other objects associated with Florida to count. Children will enjoy this book because they can relate to the location.

	One Rainy Night	Doris Gove Walter Krudrop	4-9 PreK - 1st grade	1994 Scott Fressman	A young boy and his family set out on a journey to let toads and other creatures go. They have to wait for a rainy night to return these reptiles back to nature.
	The Case of the Rainy Day Mystery	James Preller	6-9 K-2nd grade	2003 Scholastic	Jigsaw Jones and Mila set out to solve a mystery despite the rain. They splish splash through mud puddles and get wet while trying to solve the mystery.
	Follow A Raindrop	Elise Ward	6-9 1st - 3rd grade	1995 Scholastic	The water cycle is explained in this book. Children can read about and easily follow the cycle of water.

	One Windy Wednesday	Phyllis Root Helen Craig	4-6 PreK - K	1997 Candlewick Press	This is a fun book for young children to read.  The wind is crazy and takes the quack out of the duck and the moo out of the cows and the sounds out of all kinds of farm animals and mixes them all up.
	Spot's Windy Day	Eric Hill	4-6 PreK -  K	2000 Grosset & Dunlap	Spot has a wonderful day flying his kite and enjoy the windy. However, things start  to go sour when his kite gets caught in a tree.

	The Wizard of Oz	L. Frank Baum	Any age Any grade	1999 Aladdin	Dorothy and her house is swept away by a twister. She is taken to a magical place and must find her way back home. This is a great american classic book.
