My
name
is
Julie Haddock. Currently, I am
enrolled in
the Early Childhood

Education Program as Junior at Valdosta
State
University,
Valdosta, Ga. In
1995,
I
graduated from Lowndes High
School,
and attended Valdosta
Technical College where I
received my degree in Marketing and
Childcare Development. In 1999, I applied for admission at Abraham
Baldwin
College and
completed my core credits. I transferred to VSU in 2001. I anticipate
to graduate with my Bachelor of
Ed. in December 2005. I love
children
and
am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of me. I would like
to
teach Kindergarten or
Second Grade in the Lowndes County School System. Please check
out my electronic

I
was born
in Ft. Benign, GA. My father was
transferred to Germany and my mother, brother Aaron, and I moved back
to
Clyattville, GA (Valdosta suburbs). After my father's tour to
Germany, he got out of the Army, and we settled in Clyattville.
Halloween
of 1981, a new addition was added to the family, my sister Rebecca. As
a child we had many family adventures including visitingSmokemont
Campground in
the Great Smoky Mountains,
Cherokee,
NC or
we traveled
to Mexico
Beach, FL. During
our travels to North Carolina, we found a new retreat to Vogel State Park,
Blairsville, GA. We also visited family in Golden, Colorado and St.
Louis, Missouri. My favorite retreat spot is the
beach. Each year a group of friends set out for Jacksonville
Beach, FL
for the weekend. I would love
to take a cruise to the Bahamas
or fly to Hawaii
for a week of
luxury. During my free time, I like to watch movies, go bowling, eat at
my
favorite restaurant, Texas
Roadhouse,
shop, surf the web or just relax by the side of a pool
or in a lounge chair at the beach.

In high
school, I was a member of the Lowndes
High
Georgia Bridgemen
Marching Band. My
freshman
and senior year, we rode school
buses from Valdosta to Chicago to march in the
Brach's Holiday
Christmas
Parade.
I learned one key element in band: HUSTLE
(Honor, Unity, Superior, Teamwork, Leadership, Effort). I believe this
key element will make me an effective teacher. Beyond the classroom, I
am active with my church - Clyattville
United Methodist.
I am a co-youth director, and I teach third through fifth grade in
Sunday School. I keep my kids active with hands on lessons. We have
used paints to express our understanding of
the "10 Commandments." I have also coordinated and designed Vacation
Bible School for my church. I volunteer with the Big

a page for my personal
pictures which shows different aspects of
my life.
