Hi!
My name is Joel Futch. I am a junior at Valdosta State University, and
I am working on a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I'm from Adel,
Georgia. I was born there in the local hospital in 1965, and have never
lived anywhere else. I love my family, music, and the outdoors! When I
was younger, I loved to backpack, rock climb, and spend time in the
mountains. I still enjoy doing these things with my wife and three kids.
My wife, Lisa and I have three wonderful
(and interesting!) children, Lauren, Andy, and Gabby. We love going on
trips together, and exploring new places. This winter we are planning
on spending a week in a cabin up in Dillard,
Ga. We really hope
it snows!
As
you can see, I really enjoy two things; music and the mountains. My
grandmother taught me to play the guitar, and was an expert in all
kinds of stringed instruments, from the banjo to the piano.
I
have spent a lot of time learning to play the guitar. I also am the
Minister of Music for Massee Baptist Church. I direct the church choir,
and I
love to share music with
everyone I meet!
