Students with teacher assistance will read the Mini-Research eBook, explore, and discuss the information in the four linking websites that go with the Mini-Research eBook.  Ask students guiding questions about the important concepts in the Mini-Research eBook and the linking websites.   List four or more questions from each of your linking websites that will guide your students to gain information for your PLO.

Practice and feedback related to the PLO

Level 3
Student was able to accurate label both sections of the paper. Student was then able to correctly illustrate two contribution made by Jimmy Carter.

1. Comment on your teaching of how your Mini-Research eBook Lesson created learning experiences and activities that implemented the use a variety of resources and technologies.  (* To receive full credit description must include a minimum of two sentences and a detailed example.)

*I modified this lesson to teach it to the entire class per the request of my mentor teacher. This allowed me to introduce Jimmy Carter to the class as a whole. Because I planned the lesson for only two students with their own computer, the students did not benefit as much from the lesson. I had them each come up and point out different important parts of each link and had them take turns reading the content pages. Since the activity was on paper, each child was able to complete their own product page.

2. State evidence to show that your students gained knowledge during your Mini-Research eBook Lesson.  (* To receive full credit description must include a minimum of two sentences and a detailed example.)

*All of my students achieved a level 3. They each correctly labeled both sides of the page as President, Family, Georgia, and/or Habitat for Humanity. They were then able to accurately draw a picture representing the title they chose. Pictures included Jimmy Carter's children, peanuts, houses, Atlanta, and Jimmy Carter himself.

3. Give at least one suggestion that would lead to improving your teaching practices and student achievement.  (* To receive full credit description must include a minimum of two sentences and a detailed example.)

*If I taught this lesson again, I would make sure the links were easier to navigate for elementary age students. I would also make sure I used an internet program that kept the original font style and size so the students could more easily read the content.
