Dear Teachers of English Language Learners:
Many Hispanic immigrant or migrant parents may have difficulty reading, or may speak an Indian dialect.  It is important that you keep notes and communications simple, especially at the beginning.  I have listed a few generic notes to help you with your new E.L.L. students.  If there is something specific you need to write to a parent, please e-mail me for help.  The only request is that it not be a long letter, and that you are a teacher in a public school where no other bilingual help is availble to you.
