Wonderful Qualities of Loyalty & Honesty |
| Real-World Activity: *Loyalty and honesty are two of the greatest qualities to possess. Think about the mess that Zinny would have gotten herself into if she did not stay loyal and honest to ZeeBee. When you stay true to these qualities, everything eventually works itself out in the end. *Now is the time to use everything we have learned about being loyal and honest and have some fun! We will be working on two activities where you can explore your creativity! |
| Lesson 1
Directions: Circle
Discussion 1. We will sit in a circle and begin to retell the story. 2. I will start with what happened in the beginning of the story and then pass a stuffed animal zebra to you so you may pick up where I left off in the story. 3. We will take turns telling your part of the story, passing the stuffed animal zebra to the next student and that student will pick up where you left off. 4. When the stuffed animal zebra arrives back to me, I will ask you questions such as, "What part of the story talked about honesty?", "What part of the story talked about loyality?", "Would you like to have Zinny as one of your friends? Why?",etc. 5. Teacher will write down your story as you tell it. *As we retell the story, we will go through pictures from the Flower Festival. |
| Lesson 2
Directions: 1. You will draw your favorite part from the story, Marco Polo, where Marco Polo showed how he could be loyal and honest. 2. Underneath your picture, you will write the words "Loyalty and/or Honesty" that your picture shows. *Watching this video on Marco Polo will remind you of the story. |
