This is about 3 boys who have diseases. One has cerebral palsy and the other two have Tourette syndrome. They find a magic marble with magic powers and it accidentally becomes aimed at the bullies. This is a great book for children who have a disease and feel different from their peers.
 The Lion Who Had Asthma  Jonathan London/ Nadine B. Westcott  Baby-Preschool Concept Books, 1992  Sean is an ordinary child with asthma. Sean uses his imaigination to conquer his  health conditions to suggest that asthma doesn't stop a child from being a child!
 I've Got Chicken Pox  True Kelley  Ages 4-8 Dutton Books, 1994  An amusing account of a girl who gets chicken pox. At fist she is very excited, becasue sghe gets to miss school, but the next day when she feels bad and has a fever, she wants to be better. There are fun chicken pox facts at the bottom of every page.
 Even Little Kids Get Diabetes  Connie White Pirner/ Nadine Bernard Westcott  Ages 4-9 Albert Whitman & Company, 1994  A child can still live a normal life even with such health conditions as diabetes. This book explains that diabetes does not have to be as devastating to the family and the child as  they once imagined. 
 Arnie and the New Guy Nancy L. Carlson  Ages  4-8  Puffin, 1992 Arnie always teases a child with disabilities, but when he gets hurt in an accident and has to get crutches. He realizes how his teasing may ahve affected Phillip.

 Going to the Hospital Fred Rogers/Jim Judkis   Ages 5-7  Putnam Juvenile, 1997 Mr. Rogers gives wonderful information about a visit to the ER. He lets children know that it's not too scary going there and the doctors and nurses only want to help them get better.
