At fist she is very excited, becasue sghe gets to miss school, but the next day when she feels bad and has a fever, she wants to be better. There are fun chicken pox facts at the bottom of every page.

This book explains that diabetes does not have to be as devastating to the family and the child as  they once imagined.
	Arnie and the New Guy	Nancy L. Carlson	Ages  4-8	Puffin, 1992	Arnie always teases a child with disabilities, but when he gets hurt in an accident and has to get crutches. He realizes how his teasing may ahve affected Phillip.

	The Period Book	Karen Gravelle/ Debbie Palen	Ages 9-12	Walker & Company, 1996	Girls need to know what's happening to their bodies. Thsi book gives them teh answers to teh questions they are scared to ask. Probably a good book to have in your middle grades library.
	Brush Your Teeth Please	Leslie McGuire/ Jean Pidgeon	Baby-Preschool	Reader's Digest, 1993	This pop-up book makes it so much fun to learn how to brush properly and floss between all of their teeth. It uses animals to demonstrate good dental health.
	Just A Bubble Bath	Mercer Mayer	Baby-Preschool	Inchworm Press, 1991	Little Critter has to take a bath and also has to give his dog one. Everything is good when the pupy has to bathe, but when he is told to take a bath, he gets upset. His mom makes it fun by making it a bubble bath!
	Ms. Sneed's Guide to Hygiene	Dale Gottlieb	Ages 4-8	Chronicle Books,1997	Ms. Sneed is a crazy teacher who really knows how to teach her kids. She's kind of like Mrs. Frizzle from Magic School Bus. She teaches her kindergarten class about hygiene. She gives them valuable advice, such as "boogers are not food". Funny book!!

	Hospital Emergency Room Sticker Activity Book	Cathy Beylon	Ages 4-8	Dover Publications, 2001	This book has 24 stickers that are reusable. There are nurses, doctors, wheelchairs, medicine, etc. It's a very fun and educational book for kids.
	Going to the Hospital	Fred Rogers/Jim Judkis	Ages 5-7	Putnam Juvenile, 1997	Mr. Rogers gives wonderful information about a visit to the ER. He lets children know that it's not too scary going there and the doctors and nurses only want to help them get better.
