Course Activities
 
Activities:
The specific activities for each student will depend on the course for which the student is seeking credit. The tasks are likely to include some of the following:

●   Develop chronological list of life experiences that represent learning opportunities.

●    Design or update a resume representing education, work, and training accomplishments.

●    Write an autobiography.

●    Develop or update an Educational Degree Plan (EDP).

●    Request documentation from prior employers, training managers, volunteer coordinators, and others who might have observed learning activities

●    Write essays about life activities and describe learning based on those events (drafts will be provided for peer and instructor review and critique)

●    Draft a portfolio for review. (The portfolio packet will include documentation of learning activities, the knowledge, skills, and abilities gained from the experiences, linkages to course objectives, plus the autobiography, resume, chronology, and EDP.)

●    Participate in class discussions (online and in any meetings that might be scheduled).

●    Attend class (evidence will be regular participation in all online course activities).     

●    Assess personal needs for supplementary activities (in consultation with the professor) including:

      ○          seeking assistance from the Student Success Center on development and revisions of the resume, essays and other submissions

      ○          attending workshops or other sessions for study skills, time management, etc.

      ○          career counseling to refine or revise choices and plans

      ○          other appropriate self-development efforts.

●    Develop and submit a final portfolio containing documentation for which one is seeking credit.
