The girl in the story struggles as any child would with anger, sadness, and fear about what her life will become. It is a great tool for helping kids work through their issues with divorce.

She sees that things are not all that bad because she still has all her favorite things like her stuffed rabbit and red sandals evan while she misses one of her parents.

This is a good book because most children with divorced parents end up in a situation just like this one. They spend the week with mom and the weekends with dad. I did.

She sets out to make him miserable, calling him only "mister".  Jolene continues to do horrible things to Mister and he is always very patient. In the end, he gains her trust. This is a good story but it is long. It will have to be read to young children in segments.
