Welcome to my
page! My name is Erica Kobee and I am currently a Junior at Valdosta State University. My major is Early
Childhood Education and I am in my first
professional block. I have always had a passion for children, and I am
very excited about my future as an educator! I am originally from
Douglas, Georgia where I have lived my whole life. Moving to Valdosta
for college, however, has been a great experience. I plan to graduate
with a Bachelors degree in May 2011 and afterwards, I hope to obtain a
Masters degree. I would really like to teach second grade in my
hometown of Douglas.
I have made so
many amazing memories at Valdosta State University, and I am very lucky
to be apart of Kappa
Delta Sorority. We have four philanthropies which consist of
Prevent Child Abuse America, Orthopedic Research Award, Girl Scouts of
America, and Children's Hospital of Richmond, Va. I love spending my
time helping children and the community.
I found a few
websites that I believe are very beneficial to both fellow teachers and
parents. The first website is Starfall.
This website is great because it gives children extra help outside of
the classroom. Children can play along with the games and learn at the
same time. Another great website is Scholastic. This
website has wonderful materials for teachers, parents, and students.
Scholastic has lesson plans and many teaching and parenting tips. Carl's Corner is also an awesome
website to use to obtain resources. This website contains just about
anything a teacher would need in the classroom. I hope you found my
page to be helpful, and remember learning is groovy!
