This wasn’t supposed to happen

I wish I could have given you one more hug or kiss

I didn’t even get to say good-bye,

Someone just tell me this is all a lie

You were only 20 years old,

Now the days are long and cold

I lay awake, in the night

This is a battle I wasn’t ready to fight

You are my big brother

There will never be another

In your footsteps many followed

I never thought I’d have this much to swallow

Everyone does miss you,

Especially Mom and Dad

You’re the best brother, son, and friend anyone could have

You’ll always live on inside our hearts

I am just sorry so early we had to part
