Photography
is a passion of mine. This is a hobby that I have just
recently discovered and I truly love it. Growing up on my families
farm, I have grown to love and appreciate the land and its beauty. I
take the majority of my pictures where I live, and could spend hours
outdoors with my camera hanging around my neck waiting for my next
shot.
My family is very important to me.
They are the ones who constantly
support and guide me. I have one younger brother, and a miniature
dachshund who has my heart. I love to read and find that I lose myself
within the pages of most any book I pick up. My faith is extremely
important to me, and I strive to live my life for Christ. I also enjoy
exercising and find it to be a release for me on stressful days.
I am from the small
town of Hahira,
Georgia. I have lived here
my whole life and could not imagine living
anywhere else. Here "everybody knows your name" and we love when people
buzz our way for a visit. Hahira is known for
its annual Honeybee Festival, and if you have never been to our
festival you should check it out!
I
love children and watching their faces light up as they learn. When I
was a junior in high school, I was given an opportunity to take over
activities for the third, fourth, and fifth graders of my church on
Wednesday nights. I hesitantly entered this position and found that I
loved it. I believe that God has called me to be a teacher, and I look
forward to seeing what he has in store for my life.
Children learn in many different ways. I believe it is very important
to incorporate all learning styles into ones daily teaching routine.
Many children learn better when they are doing hands on activities. I
found the website Kinderart to be
very helpful and creative when it came to doing activities in the
classroom. Another website I
found to be helpful was The
Teachers Corner. This website offered many resources for teachers
such as lesson plan ideas and printable worksheets.
