How
To Evaluate Documents Sent for Review using a Rubric
1.
Open LiveText at http://college.livetext.com/college
(Using
Internet Explorer or Mozilla).
2. To login enter: your username and password.
3. On My Desk (main page), click on "Reviews" (under Collaborations
on left side).
4. Under "Received for Review," click on the document
you would like to review.
5. You can use a rubric to evaluate the document by clicking on
"Assess"
at top right of page. (If an
old rubric opens up in the assessment window, then go to the end of the
window
and select “Choose another assessment….”
A message will appear that says, “All data from this assessment
will be
lost. Are you sure?”
LiveText said that if you have “Saved &
Submitted Assessment” the previous rubric in the assessment window,
then it
has been saved & submitted and you will not loose anything.)
6.
Locate and select
the rubric you would like to use. (Rubrics are
previously developed or acquired. If the rubric has been sent to
you, it
may be in your "Inbox." If you developed the rubric, it may be
in your "My Work.")
7.
Rubric
window will open to evaluate document. After the Rubric window
opens, click on Rubric at the
top of the window to view the entire rubric. (If you are
having
problems with opening the rubric window or opening a rubric, the
problem may be
the pop-up window setting. See information below about
pop-up
blockers.)
8.
After you evaluate the document, you can enter additional comments in
the
"Other Comments" box (at bottom of rubric).
9. If listed, select the appropriate "Milestones" level.
10. Next to "Reporting," Select "Practice" if
you would like to continue evaluating document later, or "Official"
if you have completed the evaluation.
11. Click on "Save Assessment" if you have not
completed the evaluation, or "Save & Submit Assessment"
if you have completed the evaluation.
Please
note if you have not completed the evaluation:
(If you have not completed the
evaluation and would like to save what you have
done to work on later, next to "Reporting," select "Practice,"
and then select “Save”. When
you open this rubric again to complete
the evaluation, your previous work and comments should be there and
ready for
you to continue. When you have completed
the evaluation, see steps 10 & 11 above.)
When Evaluating a Document and the Assessment
Window Does Not Open because of Your "Pop-up Blocker"
1. Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools on the top toolbar.
Select Pop-up Blocker and a
side tab will open. The side tab should have "Turn On Pop-up Blocker"
showing. See illustration below:
* (If side tab has "Turn Off Pop-up Blocker" then select
"Turn Off Pop-up Blocker." This will change your side tab to
"Turn On Pop-up Blocker" when you open the tab the next time and will
allow your assessment window to open.)
