I. COE Syllabus Template

A. How To Download the COE Syllabus Template

1.     Open LiveText at http://college.livetext.com/college (Using Firefox, Internet Explorer or Mozilla)
2.     To login enter: your username and password
3.     From My Desk (main page), click Create button (top of page).  This will open the Create Document page.
4.     From the "Choose a folder" dropdown list, select "Courses" under "Valdosta State University." 
5.     From the "Choose a template" dropdown list, select "COE Syllabus Template."
6.     Wait until the screen displays the template outline on the right side of the screen.
7.     Enter the Title of your syllabus. Description is optional.
8.     Click Create Document button. This will create your syllabus document.  (To edit your syllabus from here, you can begin on Step 14 below.)

B. How To Edit Your COE Syllabus

10. Open LiveText at http://college.livetext.com/college (Using Internet Explorer or Mozilla).
11. To login enter: your username and password.
12. On My Desk (main page), find your COE syllabus that you created and would like to edit.
13. Open your syllabus to edit by clicking on the name of your syllabus.
14. After your syllabus opens, find the section in your syllabus that you would like to edit, and click on the "Edit" on the top right of that section.
15. An editing window will open and you can edit the section selected.
16. As you edit, you can save by clicking on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
17. When you have completed your editing, click on the "Finish" button on the top right side (this will take you back to your document page).
18. You can select another section to edit or click on "My Desk" button (top left side) to take you back to your
My Desk (main page).


II. COE Faculty Vita Template

A. How To Download the COE Faculty Vita Template
  1. Open LiveText at http://college.livetext.com/college (Using Internet Firefox, Explorer or Mozilla)
  2. To login enter: your username and password
  3. From My Desk (main page), click Create button (top of page).  This will open the Create Document page.
  4. From the "Choose a folder" dropdown list, select "Projects" under "Valdosta State University." 
  5. From the "Choose a template" dropdown list, select "Faculty Vita."
  6. Wait until the screen displays the template outline on the right side of the screen.
  7. Enter the Title for your vita. Description is optional.
  8. Click Create Document button. This will create your vita document template.  (To edit your vita from here, you can begin on Step 14 below.) 


B. How To Edit Your COE Vita

10. Open LiveText at http://college.livetext.com/college (Using Firefox, Internet Explorer or Mozilla).
11. To login enter: your username and password.
12. On My Desk (main page), find your Vita that you created and would like to edit.
13. Open your vita to edit by clicking on the name of your vita.
14. After your vita opens, find the section in your vita that you would like to edit, and click on the "Edit" on the top right of that section.
15. An editing window will open and you can edit the section selected.
16. As you edit, you can save by clicking on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
17. When you have completed your editing, click on the "Finish" button on the top right side (this will take you back to your document page).
18. You can select another section to edit or click on "My Desk" button (top left side) to take you back to your My Desk (main page).



III. How To Send Your Vita & Syllabus with Your Program Account in LiveText

  1. Open LiveText at http://college.livetext.com/college (Using FireFox, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla).
  2. To login enter: your username and password.
  3. On My Desk (main page), find your Vita or Syllabus that you want to send (send one at a time).
  4. To open: Click on your Vita or Syllabus.

  5. After your Vita or Syllabus opens, click on the "Share" top right of page.

  6. The "Share" small window will open.  Type the name of your Program Account in the "Share with Editiors" section of the window. 

  7. Select the name of your Program Account.
  8. Click “Send(Your document will be sent to the your program account).
 
9. Click “Finish.


IV. How To Create New Sections on a Page

1.    Open the page that you want to add a section and click on the Edit button on the right side of the page.
2.    At the top of the page, you see buttons labeled:
Create section, Order, Hide, Unhide, Edit Titles, Copy Delete.
3.    Click on Create Section.
4.    A drop-down box will appear. Click on “Text & Image.”
5.    A pop-up box will appear prompting you to enter a Section Title (Please enter a Section Title).
6.    Type the title in the pop-up box and click “OK
7.    Create another section, following steps 3-4.
8.    When your pop-up box appears, type in your new section title.
9.    Continue until you have created all the sections you would like.
