** End of Semester Information for ECED 3190C & Practicum Notebook Information for final meeting  LiveText & VAT Information about your Video Clips with Comments (I will check the information below in LiveText or the VAT Website.)  A. Complete the practicum requirements for the Early Childhood Initial Program: ECED 3190 Practicum Professional Semester 1.      1. Under Standard V:  Complete ECED 3190 Practicum Sections 1. Description; 2. Rationale; 3. Impact; 4. Reflection   Due: Dec. 4  LiveText Portfolio Checklist is linked at:  www.valdosta.edu/coe/ecre/StudentInformation.shtml B. The COE Observation Instrument Evaluations: Due: Dec. 4 - turn in final copies from your LiveText accout of your COE Observation Self-Evaluation and your COE Observation Peer Evaluation completed on your teaching. C. Videotape of Self: Due: 11/20/08 Bring your digital video as a file (to the 3:30 ECED 3000 class) that you recorded for your practicum self-evaluation.  We will put your video in the VAT Website.  VAT - How To Information & How To Directions     1. You will need to make two (2) video clips in VAT from you video tape that you made for your self-evaluation and downloaded in VAT. Due: Dec. 4     2. You should make the two video clips that would show beginning practicum students an effective strategy that you used.  Your comments with the video clips in VAT should explain each of your effective teaching strategies and how your students responded to your each of your two selected strategies. Due: Dec. 4

** Handwriting Lessons - Need to have 1st assignment sent to the handwriting company to be graded by 9/25/08.  After you receive your first graded lessons back from the handwriting company, then complete and send in the 2nd lesson during November. After you receive your second graded lessons back from the handwriting company, then complete and send in the 3rd lesson by the end of November.

Dates and Times for Practicum   * Beginning Date of Practicum: Tuesday September 16, 2008   * Ending Date of Practicum: Friay November 14, 2008   * Full Time in Practicum Classrooms: Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 14, 2008 (This is when you will assist in the classroom and teach your lessons to the students in your practicum classroom.  You will have the same school hours as your mentor teacher's hours from Monday through Friday for two weeks.)

Directions to Clyattville Elementary School http://ces.lowndes.k12.ga.us/Information.htm 5386 Madison Hwy, Phone: 229-559-7062 Take I-75 South to exit 11 (Clyattville/Madison, FL exit) (Georgia Highway 31 also called the Madison Highway/Colin Kelly Memorial Highway), turn Right. Go about 5 miles on Highway 31 (over RR tracks and past Clyattville main intersection) Clyattville Elementary School is on right side of road (5386 Madison Highway).
