My
name is
Charli Eason and
I am a junior at Valdosta State University. I am
currently in my first professional block in the Early
Childhood and Special
Education Department.
I am very excited about becoming a teacher! I truly believe that
children are the future and that every child deserves a great
education! I'm not really sure what grade I want to teach yet, but I
really enjoy pre-k and kindergarten for the time being. I am really
excited to serve in a pre-k class for my practicum this semester!
I was born and raised in Georgia, but I love to travel on mission trips. I am actually going on a mission trip to Brazil over spring break this year. I love spending time with my friends, and my family is super important. I have a six year old brother named Caleb who has inspired me to teach elementary school. I really feel that God sent my brother to confirm my love for kids and teach me patience with them... he's my best friend! I love working with children and I participate in leadership and other activities with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry on campus. When I am not at the BCM, in class, or spending time with pre-k kids for practicum, I really enjoy listening to music and my favorites are Anberlin, Relient K, Mae, Everyday Sunday, Switchfoot, Kansas, Journey, Queen, Taylor Swift, and Lecrae. I like all kinds of music and you can usually find me watching music videos of all kinds at youtube.com. 
 When
I was
really young I wanted to either be a dolphin trainer or
Garth Brooks' bassist. In elementary school I decided I wanted to be a
teacher; although I do enjoy playing bass guitar (sorry Garth!).
Teaching has always been really important to me. I love schools and the
atmosphere that comes with being surrounded by young children. As a
teacher candidate at VSU, some websites that have been helpful to me
that I think other teachers should look at are the Georgia Department of Education
website and for pre-k teachers
