My Brother

My brother’s name is Clarence Jamal Moment.  People call him C.J. as a nick name.  He is fourteen years old, and he is in the ninth grade.  He is a very nice person at times.  He is very smart and always organized.  Over the years, I have come to realize that he is my best friend.  If he says that he is going to do something, he does it.  He is also a very competitive person. He is the baby child of our family of three children.  He has one brother and one sister.
My brother is about five feet, six inches.  He has a built frame and he has his hair cut low.  He wears a size eight and a half shoe. We hang together a lot so a lot of people see us together. Everyone that see us together tells me that he and I look like we could be twins, but I think that he favors my father more that he favors me. CJ has a stomach that pokes out a little bit.  His ears stick out to the side like mine but not as far.  He has very thick eyebrows and very long eyelashes.  He has very wide shoulders and big triceps.  His biceps are not as big as he wants them to be, though he has a wide nose and short fingers.
My brother’s hobbies are playing sports, playing video games and spending time in church.  He is good in every sport that he joins.  He plays football, basketball, baseball, and soccer.  His favorite sport is basketball.  I think that baseball is the sport that he plays the best, though, about two years ago he and his friends were playing hide and go seek at his friend Rantravious’ house.  He cut the palm of his hand on a piece of tin that was lying on the side of a shed.  CJ had to be rushed to the hospital that morning.  He received five stitches in his hand that morning.  That same night, he started at shortstop in his recreational baseball all-star game.  He threw out a total of seven people, and there was not a time in that game that he didn’t get on base when he was at bat.  He led them to win the game five to three.  All of the fans from Washington County praised him after the game about how well he played with stitches.  That was one of his best days of his baseball career.
He was the leading scorer on his soccer team too. He has been playing soccer since he was six years old. He was the leading scorer on his team six out of the eight years that he played.  When I go to his games I become his main fan. He makes unbelievable shots.  He was the quarterback and the linebacker of his football team.  He made the basketball all-star team three times out of the four years that he played recreationally.  The second time he made it his team won state. They beat teams from division five schools.  The last game was very intense.  The crowd was really into the game. Every time someone went to the free throw line, the crowd went wild.  One lady got kicked out of the game for cursing out the referee because she thought that he had made a bad call at a critical part of the game.
In his spare time, C.J. likes to play video games with me and his friends.  He has four close friends and a favorite cousin. His four close friends are Rahmire Horton, Jeremy Tillman, Javior Pace, and Trey Thomas.  His favorite cousin is actually his best friend.  His name is Jamarian Scott.  Jamarian has been in his class for four years now.  He and Jamarian spend a lot of time together.  They enjoy spending the night at each others houses.  If one of them gets into a fight with someone, the other one always helps the one that is fighting.  They are both part of the step team at our church, too. They had a big step show about a month ago. They had four step teams to step at the show.  They also had a few models to walk across the stage after each step team finished their routine. They had some surprise steppers to come out and step at the end of the show.  They were a mixture of Kappas that step for the show. Half of the steppers were from the University of Georgia , and the other half was from Paine College .  The steppers at Paine College liked the show so much that they invited his step team to come open their step show in September.  The step team has to practice three times a week, so they are sure that they will do well at the step show.
C.J. has good study habits in school.  He always works hard in school. He has never had a grade below an eighty on his report card.  The only thing that causes him to be unfocused in school is his attitude.  His attitude is the only thing that I hate about him.  He is very smart, so in class, he finishes his work early and starts talking to his classmates.  When the teacher tells him to turn around, he gets an attitude and does the opposite. His attitude always gets him in trouble.  One time, his school had a food fight, and he was not a part of it.  The school cop came by while he was leaving the cafeteria, and asked him who started it.  He told the cop to get out of his face and stop asking him questions.  He did not get suspended for this, but it did result in a call home from the principle.  He got whippings for days for doing that.
C.J. is a very competitive person.  He is also somewhat of a sore loser.  He competes with anyone who wants to compete against him.  When he loses in anything he throws temper tantrums.  Almost every time we play basketball, he ends up throwing the ball across the yard or across the court.  After he throws the ball, someone always has to go get the ball, if they want to continue playing.  He can be getting beat by someone ten years older than him, and he will still get mad when he loses.  One day at the recreational center, he was playing basketball against a person twenty years old.  When he lost, he threw the ball at his face and busted his lip.  The man did not do anything, because he knew our father pretty well.
When we play video games he throws the controllers on the ground when he loses.  Everyone he plays with always just remains quiet and does something else.  Every time he does that, I start laughing and hoping that it will make him mad, so that he will stop doing it.  It is so bad that sometimes, he loses and goes into his room for the rest of the day. This is the only bad quality that he has.  He just stopped acting like that this summer.  I guess it is because he knew that he was going to high school, and he wasn’t going to get away with his attitude there, or it could be the plain fact that he is getting older.
C.J. is a very unique person.  He is the type of person who wants to have the best clothes.  If there is something new out, he has to go and get it, if he has enough money to buy it.  He buys any thing that Jordan puts out. He gets about four pairs of shoes just to start the school year.  His birthday is February 29.  This means that he is a leap year baby.  His original birthday only comes around every four years.  He is really three and a half years old.  We celebrate his birthday on February 28.  Some people with his birthday celebrate their birthday on March 1st, but we thought it would confuse him about which month his birthday was in if we did that.   The thing that he probably likes doing the most is hanging out with me and my friends.  It makes him feel like he is older than he really is.  Everywhere my friends and I go, he comes also.  We go to the movies together.  We go bowling together.  When I used to go out to eat with my girlfriend, he joined us.  We enjoy his company.
The place where he enjoys going to the most is Fort Gordon .  Fort Gordon is an army military base in Augusta .  We go get a haircut their every two weeks.  The thing that C.J. likes to do the most in Fort Gordon is go bowling, play in the arcade, and swim in the indoor pool.  In the indoor pool we play a lot of water volleyball and race in the water. Doing that is funnier than swimming in the pool.
C.J. is a very fun and interesting person when one gets to know him.  He is a good athlete.  He likes playing with his friends and his family.  He dresses to impress. He has a little bit of an attitude, but he has improved it over the summer.  He is very smart.  Overall, he is a good person.
