student worked independently. She was given an envelope with
twenty dollars in it. The student was instructed to figure out
how much change she would get back if the total amount for her book bag
was $17.67 and she gave the cashier $20. In order to do this the
student took the total amount of the book bag away from the $20. Then
the student knew how much change she would get back. 2. The student followed student two on separating the amount of the book bag from the amount of money her mother gave her. The student stated that she enjoyed the lesson. Although she enjoyed the lesson and gained knowledge from the lesson, she think it's easier to use pencil and paper to figure out how much change she will get back in a sell. |

previous examples in the lesson to complete this activity. 2. The student exceeded what was expected from her. She was able to decided to use this method to figure out how much change she would get back from the cashier. She was introduced to this method from an older sibling. The student wanted to redo the eBook lesson again. She really enjoyed the lesson. She stated that "by separating the money this way, it seemed easier." |
