About ME:
I was born in
Albany,
Georgia, but I grew up right here in the great city of Valdosta .
I am a 20-year-old Junior at
Valdosta State University working on obtaining a degree in Early
Childhood Education. I currently work at Dr. Adam's Orthodontist office
where I
assist the doctor in his work. I am also a cheerleading coach
here in a local gym,
The Cheer Spot. I love to shop, talk, and eat. I spend most of my extra
time with my boyfriend, Tim and my two best friends, Amanda and
Jennifer. I am now planning a wedding for myself and Tim.
The BIG date is scheduled for October 14, 2006!
Why do I
Want to Teach?
I hope to, one day, make an impact on children's lives, and I want
each child to know that he or she can, in turn, do the same
thing. My goal as a teacher is to make a difference. My
love for children and my outgoing
personality make
a great combination to accomplish this goal.
My Inpiration:
I have always wanted to be a teacher
ever since I
lined my stuffed
animals up and pointed my yard stick at them, but as a senior in high
school, I was given th opoportunity to do some observations in an
elementary classroom. I was assigned to Mrs. May at Clyattville
Elementary School who teaches first grade. There, she gave me the
chance to practice my teaching skills. She encouraged me,
assisted me, and most importantly she supported me. I thank her
for the impact she has made in my career.
