A+MATH
This is a site that was created to help elementary school students with their math skills.  The site includes a game room, flash cards, worksheets, and even has a homework help section.

ACADEMY CURRICULAR EXCHANGE MATHEMATICS ELEMENTARY (K-5)
This was a cool site with a bunch of different links to ideas on lesson plans for any grade k-5. tt has a lot of fun games that can be used in lesson plans to teach math.

ARITHMATTACK
How many math problems can you solve in 60 seconds?  This website drills you in different math problems.  You can pick addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

ASK DR. MATH
This site has elementary, middle and high school level questions.  Students can write in with a question or a problem they are having with pretty much any level of math. The answers to their questions are then posted for everyone to see.

ASK DR.MATH
This site contains levels appropriate for elementary school students. Anybody can send Dr.Math an email containing a problem and he will answer it and post it on the web page.  Dr. Math answers questions from students and their teachers.

AWESOME LIBRARY-MATHEMATICS
This sight has lots of lesson plans by grade level and mathematics ability.  It is a web sight that is attached to a multipurpose sight in many different subjects.

BONUS.COM
At this site kids can select word games, math problems and fun brain teasers from basic addition through algebra.

BRAIN TEASERS
This web site offers word problems for students.  The site is broken into grade levels of 3-4, 5-6, and 7+.  There is a new word problem every week.  The answer is posted the next week along with an archive of other problems.

CONVENIENT TEACHER CENTERS

COOLMATH.COM AN AMUSEMENT PARK OF MATHEMATICS
A website for elementary school children.  There are different links you can go in such as the site for kids only.  This site has different Math games such as: learning about triangles, prime numbers, geometry and many more.

CURIOUS AND USEFUL MATH
It has all sorts of tricks and shortcuts for learning math.

DISNEY'S TEACHER-TESTED SITES AND IDEAS FOR MATH
There are many great ideas for math lessons that would be fun for the students.  Not only does it give you new and fun ideas, it has links to web pages that corrolate with each lesson.

DOMATH
This site is sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). It offers grade-level appropriate math questions with answers,  a Family Corner which addresses parental concerns.

EDUCATION PLANET
This site has a variety of different projects you can do with students to help them better understand a math concept.  It was awarded the Education Planet "Math Top Site Award."

ELEMENTARY III MATH CONNECTION
The website had several games and math problems that would help keep fourth and fifth grade students interested as well as to help them understand complex problems.  The site also integrates technology with math.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S TEACHER PLACE

FUNBRAIN: ONLINE EDUCATIONAL GAMES FOR KIDS
This website is chock full of fun games to help children sharpen their math skills.  Skills such as recognizing numbers, making change, and even fractions are explored in this website along with the basic math concepts.

GORDON'S GAMES, SIMPLE MATH, NOT SO SIMPLE MATH, AND NOT JUST MATH
At this site four booklets to be used as a resource for teachers of k through 3 are found.  the booklets are on the site or you can order them.  These four booklets contain teaching games and activities used to teach math to younger students.

HANDS-ON MATH: ACTIVITIES FOR THE ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM
This site provides activities which use geometry, number patterns and topography and refer to appropriate grade levels.

HARCOURT MATH
I know it doesn't sound fun, but it is a cool site.  For a child who is struggling with a concept this site will help.  There is animation and pictures that go along with the word.  Not only does it tell  you the definition, it shows it to you.

INTERNET RESOURCES FOR ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS EDUCATORS
This site includes links to webpages with lesson plans of all types, links to resources for teachers, information about Commercial Materials and Professional Organizations, and information about software that is available for the classroom.

KIDPORT
Hey, guys, this website is great! colorful and Interactive....it allows students, teachers and parents to ask questions and receive answers about mathematics... It has games and cool facts about math on it, too.

KNOWLEDGE ADVENTURE - GRADE SCHOOL
This site is for K-4th grade level math, it helps kids  get a jumpstart (hence the name) on math by making it fun.  For example, there is frog well where you control the frog and to solve the math problem you use his tongue for the correct answer.

LEARN FRACTIONS WITH CUISENAIRE RODS
This site can tell you all about how to use cuisenaire rods.  It is very informative.  You can buy the rods from the site, or you can print some out and color them in yourself. There are quite a few options that come with this site.  Very informative.

LEARNING PLANET
This site covers all subjects, however it provides excellent math review and games.  You can choose any grade level, from pre-k to 6+.

LESSON PLAN PAGE
This site provides hundreds of lesson plans broken down into 6 different grade sections.  These are grouped: pre-K-1, grades 2-3, 4-5, 6-7 and junior high and high school.  I found many useful ideas for math lessons at this site.

LICENSE PLATE MATH
This game is a good way for children to practice their math skills. There are many different math puzzles and levels and it is available for all ages. You must match the numbers on the license plate according to the rules that the site gives to you.

MATH
This site has links to many resources for math teachers.  It is divided into six categories; lesson plans, applications, board games, organizations, ideas &activities, and puzzles & problems.

MATH ACTIVITIES FOR K-12 TEACHERS

MATH BASEBALL
The game is directed at elementary level students. In the game they are given a problem pertaining to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or all of the above to answer. There is four levels of difficulty.

MATH CENTER LESSON PLANS
This site provides all types of lesson plans for math teachers.  It gives a list of different areas that you can look into.

MATH FLASH
This site provides flash cards for children to practice math.  It is designed for elementary math students.  There is an abundance of math questions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

MATH FOR KIDS
Math for Kids is a very helpful website directed towards fourth graders.  It teaches strategies to implement when doing problem-solving.  Also, this website gives many practice problems that may be useful in your own classroom.

MATH LEAGUE HELP TOPICS
This site is a resource for 4th-8th graders in several different math subjects.  Each topic is very detailed and descriptive.  It could be helpful for students as well as teachers.

MATH PROSE
This site offers a variety of stories that deal with math that you can share with your students. I liked this site because the stories help get your student's attention and show them how math is used in the real world.

MATH SITE FOR KIDS
This is such a cute website-the kids can use flashcards for multiplication tables, learn about the magic square, even learn how to convert numbers. I really like this site...

MATH STORIES.COM
This site is a math site for 3-5th graders.  It tells a story about math that the kids have to solve math problems to get through.  The page is fun and educational.

MATH WORD PROBLEMS FOR CHILDREN

MATHEMATICS STANDARDS OF LEARNING - GRADE FOUR
This site goes over what the standards are for fourth grade math.  It starts with division with whole numbers and goes to problem solving.  Then there are 22 seperate pages that include different lesson plans.

MEGA MATH
Supplies unusual and important mathematical ideas to elementary school classrooms,so young people and teachers can think together.  Supplies activities, background information on the activities, materials needed, goals and insights, and more.

MOLECULAR MATHEMATICS
This is a great website for anyone interested in molecular mathmatics or needs help in that area. It contains examples and experiments that are easy to follow. It also provides activities for K-12 that students can try on their own.

MR. TITEN'S MORE THAN MATH PAGE
This site is very creative and includes challenge problems, number tricks, and links for parents, students, and teachers.  New problems and answers are posted each week.  The links are also very helpful, it is a good way to involve parents.

MRS. GLOSSER'S MATH GOODIES
This site has different crosswors puzzles for different age students as well as interactive lessons that go along with the puzzles and other activities for the classroom. I thought it was really neat and a lot of fun to play with.

MUNGRY MATH
This site refers to A Shel Silverstein poem in his book, "Where the sidewalk Ends," and it shows how after reading the poem students can create pie or bar graphs to add up what the person in the poem eats.

PRO-TEACHER

RICK'S MATH WEB
This site contains entire K-12 math curriculums that are free to everyone.  It has math problems complete with tips and tricks for place value, addition, etc. I think this site is excellent for any teacher to look at.

ROOM 108 MATH
This website is awesome! Not only is it fun and educational, but it also plays music every time you solve a puzzle.  It offers dot-to-dots that are challenging because they do not count in regular number order,but number patters (such a odds, evens, etc.)

SUREMATH
This site is great for students and teachers alike.  There are story problems, explanations of the development of the solution, and places to enter your own equation to help you solve for your variable.

TEACHER NET LESSON BANK
Easy games that help kids to learn math better.  Various games like Bingo, Around the World, and Eraser Basketball help to teach fact families.  Math Wars help children with story problems and longer calculations.

This site is called Mathematics behind math.  This site gives kids maps and asks them to problem solve each map by asking various questions.

This website is full of all sorts of math subject areas for educators and students. It allows the user to insert different possible numbers and automatically solves them for you. Different links bring you to any of the following: fractions, division, etc.

This site is designed for both students and teachers, to familiarize them with different types of word problems.  Each problem is classified into grade levels from 5-12.  The problems are created to help improve the students problem solving skills.

This is a great math site for kids.  It integrates science with math.  Kids can link to have their math questions answered.  There is a link for elementary school math as well as geometry links for older kids.

Math goodies features interactive math lessons. Grades k-12 can enjoy this web page. It is great for students and teachers. It offers lessons for the tachers and features the prblem solving approach for students.

MUNGRY  MATH  - REPEATED SITE
The author, Ms. M.E., has chosen the poem Hungry Mungry from the book "Where the Sidewalk Ends," and used it's information to create a few charts.  In doing so, she has created an interesting way to teach students about charts, graphs, and pie charts.

ROOM 108 MATH - REPEATED SITE
This site is really good to help kids with math.  It shows you how to  add large numbers, a connect the dot's game to help kids work with numbers, math tests for practice, number sliders, and many other games and problems.

WEEKLY MATH CHALLENGE  - DEAD LINK
This site lists math books for grade levels 3-6 and provides math problems for individual work as well as collaborative group projects. The math problems in the books reinforce mental math, critical thinking, and provide brain teasers.
