Hi, my name is Carli Crook. I am currently a student at VSU. I previously graduated from ABAC with an Associates degree. While here at VSU I intend on completing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I hope in the near future to get a job in the school system and hopefully get married to my boyfriend of two years. One of my favorite things to do when I'm not in class or working on homework is spend time with friends and family. Living in a small town allows a lot of time to hang out and relax. When I'm not spending time with my friends, I can usually be found with my nose in a book. Reading is very important to me and I think that books are one of the easiest ways to explore places around the world. Some of my favorite authors include Laurell K. Hamilton, Christopher Moore, Carl Hiaason, Kelly Armstrong, Kim Harrison, James Patterson, Nora Roberts and many more. I love watching movies and I especially love going to see them in the theater. A few of my favorite movies are Moulin Rouge, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Braveheart, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Velvet Goldmine and 300. When I have a less demanding School schedule I work at Winn Dixie in my home town. I've been working there now for about two years. I look forward to the upcoming future and all the things it promises.

From the time  I was old enough to remember I have dabbled in all sorts of activities ranging from clogging to ball to piano. In the past few years I've realized that my true talents are in literature. Ever since I was a young girl I've always enjoyed reading and now as an adult I am testing my skills in writing a fictional book much like the ones I enjoy. I have written a few poems that were published at a younger age and I look forward to one day having my book published.

Some things that I can't wait to do are finish school and hopefully get a masters degree in Education. I hope in the near future to get married and eventually have children. I would like to be able to travel the world and I would love to return to Europe once more in my lifetime. I would like to see my name on the front of a book cover one day at Books a Million and I would love to get the chance to meet Laurell K. Hamilton. I know all these things are possible, I just have to set my mind to what I want and then go after it!

MY FIVE FAVORITE WEBSITES!

1. My favorite author since I was about 15 has been Laurell K. Hamilton. She was recommended to me by one of the workers at Books-a-Million and I have been reading her books ever since. This link is to her homepage where I visit quite often. I always like to try and keep up with her new realeases and schedule. I keep checking hoping one day she will do a book signing closer to home.
2. One of my favorite bands is Placebo. I discovered them through a close friend several years ago. The lead singer, Brian Molko, has a wonderful voice that I love to listen to. When I was in the 11th grade I got to go to Atlanta and see them perform during one of their first US tours. It was the best concert I've ever been to. I check this website often to keep up with tour schedules and other band related news.
3. The website I visit more than any other would have to be Myspace. This website is a wonderful place to keep up with friends that you might not see often. I love getting to see what my friends from highschool are doing these days. It's also a place I go to kill time. I can always work on decorating my page and there are usually a million different surveys floating around to fill out if I'm extremely bored.
4. Another website I visit often is Youtube. I've found it to be very useful whenever I'm looking for movie clips, music videos, or even old TV shows from when I was a child. I think it's quite handy for overcoming boredom as well.
5. The website I visit whenever I'm searching for a new book to read or a place to waste some money is usually Books-a-Million. I love going to the store whenever I have free time, but when I don't it's nice to be able to just go online and order books from the privacy of my own living room.
