| Real World Activity: The
company that supplies energy to our school asked Dr. Bennett, our
Principal, to make a list of energy sources in the school. The company
needs her to put each energy source in a category according to what
type of energy it is. You can help out by taking what you have learned
about energy sources and think hard about what is in the school. Click here if

| Lesson 1 Directions: Step 1: A graphic organizer will be provided with three different category boxes. On the blank line in each category box, write the name of one source of energy. Step 2: Think about some of the examples of the three types of energy that you can find at your school. Don't forget the playground and lunchroom! Step 3: In the correct category box, draw a picture of the item and label it. Step 4: At the bottom of your paper, write a few sentences about how some of your items are used in the school. |
| Lesson 2 Directions: Step 1: A graphic organizer will be provided with three different category boxes. On the blank line in each category box, write the name of one source of energy. Step 2: Search through the magazines provided to find some examples of energy sources. Step 3: Cut out pictures or words and paste it to your graphic organizer in the correct category box. Step 4: Label each item. Step 5: At the bottom of your paper, write a few sentences about how some of your items are used in the school. |
