Wonderful book!  Always leaves you full of suspense where I couldn't put it down.  A brother and sister buy a dog, Ginger Pye.  This isn't just any dog thought.  Ginger Pye was a super intelligent dog that even tracked Jerry all the way to school one day.  Ginger Pye gets stolen and Jerry and Rachel Pye get to the bottom of it.

Have students create a giant thimble out of a paper cup to hang in their room for good luck.  Have them paint the cup a silver base and allow them to decorate it any way they want.
A young girl, Garnet, finds what she believes to be a magical thimble one summer.  She found this thimble near her swimming hole and good luck followed every since.  Many magical and fun things happen to Garnet during her "Thimble Summer."
