Welcome to my web page!
My
name is
Brooke Steinberg and I am a junior at Valdosta State University.
I was born and raised in Valdosta, Ga, and I love it. Of course,
I am majoring in early childhood education and plan to graduate in
December of 2007. I love going to church and I am a member of
Northside Baptist Church here in Valdosta. This semester I am
attending Echols County Pre-K for my practicum. The children and
teachers are fabulous. I should consider laughing a hobby of mine
and the children definitely keep a smile on my face.
My career goal is to become an
exceptional early childhood
educator. I have always desired to be a teacher. I
chose the early grades because I believe this is the most crucial time
in a child's life. The early grades lay the foundation for a
successful future. Most importantly, I think children need to
hear someone believes in them and loves them. Children can
achieve
anything if you just help them believe in them self.
My strength and encouragement
comes from our Lord. My prayer is that I will trust the Lord more
today than yesterday and more tommorow than today. Also, my third
grade teacher stands out in my mind as a phenomonal teacher. My
memories of Mrs. Campbell are vivid because she always had a positive
and energetic spirit. One of her great characteristics was her
consistency. We, the students, never knew if she was having a bad
day. I pray that I will become as good of an educator as Mrs.
Campbell was if not better.
