Valdosta State University

- Hello my name is Amber Simons.

- My future career includes a job at a prestigious law firm or hospital.

- I plan to major in both Law and minor in Biology.

- I like the class sizes here at Valdosta University, I also like the programs available to the students.

- I like to play tennis. I am originally from Michigan, moved here in the seventh grade and can not wait to get out.

The Freshmen Year Experience Program

- The purpose of the Freshmen Year Experience Program is to better prepare you for college life; how to study, time management, studying strategies, how to take tests with logical thinking. This course is very helpful to freshmen, in my opinion.

- Freshmen Year Experience has affected my freshmen year both academically and socially by making me get involved and learning new ways to make the grades and get involved with my school.

- Freshmen Year Experience Program has impacted, my further college development by teaching and showing me what is expected at this level of college..

-I have learned from the Freshmen Year Experience Program everything that I need to have done before I graduate. If not for the Freshmen Year Experience Program I would not know what I had needed to do in order to become a sophomore or even graduate.

- Some ideas that may help the program for future students would be to plan more group community service projects. I for one have no means of transportation and I had trouble getting my community service hours. Planned projects where everyone can come, with in a reasonable distance, and participate would make it a little easier to those students.
