It was early one
Saturday morning, around 6:00 a.m.. All the animals on the McFly's Farm
were sound asleep. Just a few minutes past 6:00, the sun began to rise,
and Mr. Rooster began his daily cock-a-doodle-dooing. Of course, once
the other animals heard Mr. Rooster they slowly got up and began to
stretch.
"Oh my aching back," cried Betsy the cow, "It's terrible getting old. " Miss Piggy squeels, " Betsy, do you have to remind us every morning about how bad it is to get old?" Miss Piggy was obviously not a morning person. "Well, escuse me," Betsy politely said. While the two were babbling back and forth, Lilly the lamb notices Mr. McFly hooking the trailer up to his truck. Around the McFly's Farm, this only meant one thing, someone was about to go to a new home, if you know what I mean." Look," whispered Lilly, "Who do you think is leaving this time?" All the animals, including the horse, rabbit, Betsy, Mr. Rooster and Lilly, were hoping that it would be Miss Piggy to leave. But for some odd reason, Mr. McFly drove off into the sunrise.
"Well isn't that just ridiculous," yelled Miss Piggy, "what, we don't get breakfast before he leaves?" Mr. Rooster thought to himself, "Miss Piggy could miss a few meals and it wouldn't hurt her." A few minutes later, Mrs. McFly went down to the barn and fed all the animals breakfast. After breakfast, they quietly walked around, nibbling on some grass here and there. They were all thinking, "what in the world is going on?"
A few hours went by. Betsy was lying under a tree taking a nap, Miss Piggy was buried in the mud sound asleep, and Lilly was in the barn, curled up next to the horse. All of a sudden, they heard Mr. McFly's truck coming down the drive way. The animals jumped up and huddled up together. Their hearts were about to beat out of their chests. "Who is it, Who is it, Who is it?" wondered Betsy. "Please don't let it be me," cried Lilly.
Mr. McFly parked his truck next to the barn. He walked around to the back of the trailer and opened the door. He walked inside to get something. A few minutes later he walked out of the trailer with a baby goat. Oh how the animals jumped with excitement. They were excited for two reasons: 1.No one was leaving and 2. They had a new friend on the farm.
"Isn't he adorable," shouted Lilly with excitement. "Oh, I just want to pinch his cheeks," Betsy said. Finally Miss Piggie squeeled, " I actually think that I might like this little guy." The animals were shocked, Miss Piggy actually said something nice.
Mr. McFly showed the little goat around and then let him loose to play with the animals. He was scared at first, but eventually he warmed up. All the animals welcomed little goat and treated him like family. From here on out, the animals were best friend with eachother, including Miss Piggy.
