Learning Wow! In this website, you will be able to choose a math activity based on any subject you are teaching. If you are searching for activities such as money, counting, telling time, matching, etc. then you have found the right place. This is a great website that I enjoy. AAA Math This website allows students to choose their grade level and a topic. Practice problems are given under every topic. When the student answers the question wrong, the correct answer is given. The students are scored and timed. Explanations of topics are also given. |
A+ Math
In this site, you will find a variety of math topics from addition to algebra. Flash cards are available as well as a math bingo game. There is also a homework helper where children can enter their problem and attempt to answer. The helper will tell the child whether the answer is correct or whether the child needs to try again. A math problem will be given. You must enter the answer to the problem and hit the 'swing' button. If the answer is correct, you will get a hit. Sometimes it is a single and sometime you get a homerun. This depends on difficulty. If the problem is wrong, you will get an out. The game is over after three outs. |

In the website, children are given the opportunity to play a matching game with words. They are also given book titles in which they can go to and read a book. At the top of the page there are other activities geared toward holiday themes. |

Brain This website is very good when working on spelling. A sentence is provided and the child is asked to select the misspelled word. Other activities are given to improve the students grammar and language use. Light Up Your Brain From links to books for different ages to literature games, this site is full of goodies. Children can listen to stories and play a variety of games. There is also links for further fun and learning. I really enjoy this website. |

It's My
Story Here the children have to opportunity to fill in the blanks to the statements. After the blanks are filled, click 'write my story.' A window pops up and there is a personal story just for you. Very cute idea. PBS Kids Stories I really like this website because it gives children the opportunity to read stories right from their home. Throughout the story, there are words in red. Click of the red word and a word helper will help you with the word and give you another example using the word. Games are also provided to further the adventure. |
Scholastics Scholastics site is full of interactive pages where children can play with their favorite book characters, read about new books, and rate their favorite books. There is also writing games, puzzles, and quizzes for the children. Primary Games Wow, what a site. There is so much to explore for children of all ages. Children have the opportunity to explore online games and activities that review reading and writing. Some of the games include hangman, letter rip, word lab, and many more. |

Brain Pop This website offers a huge variety of categories for children. There are movies for every category to make learning fun and entertaining. Activities are also available for the children to complete. |

I used social studies and the subcategories consisted of civics, economics, family, transportation, geography, world history etc. Lesson plans and book titles are provided. Family Education Fun ideas are listed for parents to use with their children. Printable pages are also given to further the interaction between parents and students along with book titles. This is a very neat website. |
Geography Games This website is full of some of the coolest geography games. From jigsaw puzzles to quizzes, from volcanoes to Ancient Culture, children can learn it all on this website. History Essentials A timeline appears on this site full of information about ancient Egypt, the ancient Greeks, Roman and Viking settlers in Britain, the Tudor period, and children in Britain during World War II. Once you decide what you want to learn about, click on that picture and information on that topic will appear. You can also find worksheets, images, and web links. This is a very good website for studying history. |

Scribbles A place for children that want to learn and create art. The site provides definitions of art terms, art history, art galleries, a drawing board that show how to draw, and much more. The Artist's Toolkit This is a very learner focused website. Children will learn the different elements in art and watch animated demonstration of various artistic principles. They will find examples of these concepts and create their own composition. Crayola Creativity Central This site is one of my favorites. It is full of activities for teachers, parents, and children. There is coloring and activities, quizzes, lesson plans, and helpful information. I love this website. |

Children can match the teeth, connect the dots, do a maze, and search for dental words in a crossword puzzle. This is a good site for teaching about teeth! |
Kids Health Wow, full of information is the way I would describe this site. Everything you need to know. You can choose between three different sites, the parents site, the kids site, and the teen site. Each site is full of useful information. The kids site is a site to help children better understand things regarding their health. Included are games, recipes, growing up problems, and much more. This site is also provided in Spanish. Infection Detection Protection Very cute site about germs and preventions. There are storys about different infections and germs and how they affect you. How Lou got the Flu is another cute story about an infection. |
