Hello! My name is Adrienne Williams. I am a Freshman at Valdosta State University, home of the 2007 National Champion Blazers! My major is currently undecided, but I have been thinking about declaring it to Early childhood education. I have always loved working with kids and being able to make an impact in their lives. I loved VSU the first day I ever stepped foot on the campus. I loved the beautiful weather and the location. I am from Atlanta so it is not too far from home, but close to one of my favorite states, Florida. Although Valdosta is nothing like the city life in Atlanta I enjoy being here.

The Freshman Year Experience

I believe the purpose of the Freshman Year Experience Program (FYE)

is to help the lost and confused freshman entering a

university. The FYE program has affected me such a great deal, both

academically and socially. I enjoy being in this program, because I see

familiar faces in almost all of my classes. Thanks to this program, I have

found good friends, and one great friend in particular named Adrienne Williams.

I believe that since I am in the FYE program, my future

school development will be successful. My peer mentor's name is kristin,

and she is so helpful and nice. Throughout this program, I have

learned the value of community service, the importance of studying for my classes,

and the quality of friendship!
