      My name is Brooke Permenter and I am from Adel, Georgia.  I am twenty years old and I have lived in Adel my entire life.  I still live with my parents and I have one sister, who is older and married.  I have five dogs and  one cat at my parent's house, and one dog, two cats at my boyfriend's house.  My boyfriend's name is Luke Rountree and we have been dating for three years.  I coach gymnastics in Adel and in Nashville.  I have been coaching since I was sixteen years old.  I love it!

    I want to be a teacher because I love the fact that I do not have to sit at a desk all day and work.  I can get up and play with the children and do a lot of hands-on activities.  I want to be able to teach the children not only the essential school material but what happens in the real world.  I want to teach them to better themselves throughout life in education and personal aspects.

    I honestly never thought I would one day want to be a teacher.  My boyfriend's mother is a teacher and she would always talk about her teaching experiences and whether it be good or bad, I found it all to be interesting.  I started thinking back to when I was in school and remembered all of the teachers that left a good mark as well as those who left bad marks in my life.  It made me want to become a teacher so children could remember the good times they had in school, with a good teacher, and hopefully that would make them continue their education after high school.  I want to be one of those teachers that stay in a students mind even when they are seventy years old.
