WebCT Vista Restrict Learning Access Dates Request

It has come to our attention that Banner file imported data to Vista does not restrict the dates students access classes. Our concern is this will allow students to access class materials before and after instructors anticipated.

  • Student's enrollment information was imported into Vista in late April for Summer 2005.
  • Check whether or not students have accessed materials by using the Reports and Tracking in the Teach tab.
  • Student's enrollment information was accidentally imported into Vista in early August for Fall 2005.
  • No such incident occurred for Spring 2006.

Should you not wish for students to access the material early, then please either:

  1. Use conditionals to restrict the time students may access the materials in each section
  2. Use the form below to alert us that you wish for the Banner date to be enabled.

We will of course make exceptions for Incompletes. Please alert us now.
