Opened in 1966, Lowndes Hall was named in appreciation of the county in which the University is located and in honor of William Jones Lowndes, southern educator and statesman. Lowndes Hall is a co-educational residence hall with 200 students and is open to students who desire to remain on campus during University break periods. |
