Daniel Oakes - Station Manager
A Navy brat, Daniel moved around the country before ending up in Camden County, Georgia. (Go Wildcats!)
Daniel cut his teeth in radio at WECC-FM 89.3 from 2002-2009, handling everything from Weekend Disc Jockey, Voice Over, Production, and Programming. From 2004-2009 he was the Music Director/Production Assistant for the station.
In Fall 2009, he enrolled at VSU to study Mass Media with an Audio Emphasis. At the same time, he began work as a Disc Jockey for WVVS. In December 2009, he was brought on staff as the Alternative Programming Director. Since July 2010, he has served as Station Manager of 90.9 Blaze FM.
As Dapper Dan, he hosted "A Whisper And A Clamor", a Christian Rock show in 2010. He also co-hosted "One Size Fits All" in 2010.
Since January 2011, he and Doc Grizzly have hosted "The Morning Haze" from 8 to 10 every weekday morning. He graduates December 2011.
