How to get help with WebCT Vista

  • WebCT Vista 3 does provide excellent context-sensitive information on the Help link inside the system. Wherever you are, the information provided describes what is available at that location. Search on a topic to learn how to complete common tasks.
  • Everyone should see "Student Help Resources - Vista for Students" on his or her list of classes. This class has visuals on how to use the various tools in WebCT Vista.
  • The WebCT Tech Help Form is available to request assistance with overcoming a problem. This sends an email to the areas of support best able to resolve the problem.
  • The IT Helpdesk is the first level of support and can answer most basic questions. Should they need to escalate the call to a more senior administrator then they will do so.
  • Use of the Tech Help Form above is the best method. The members of the Vista Support Staff may from time to time be unavailable and sometimes change so attempting to contact one directly may cause a delay in the fullment of your request. By using the form, the request will be brought to the attention of all the staff who can perform the duties of others.
