Why Can't I enter a Chat Room or whiteboard Session
Clearing the Java Cache
WebCT Vista requires acceptance of a Java Security certificate to enable the Chat Room and Whiteboard tools. Accepting the security certificate is an automated process, however Vista users may need to manually clear the old certificate from the Java Cache in order for the Chat tools to initiate.
*** Before you begin: Verify that you have the correct version of Java. ***
1. Close all windows of Internet Explorer.
2. Click on the start button
3. Click on control panel
4. Click on the Java icon
5. Click on the delete files button under temporary internet files
6. Click OK
7. You are done clearing the cache.
