A VECU Loan
Officer can accept your loan application and discuss qualifications,
guidelines, fees, and requirements with you. VECU follows a
risk-based lending policy approved by the Board of Directors.
All loans require a current and acceptable credit report(s) for the
borrower(s), income and employment verification of the borrower(s), are subject
to approval of the Credit Committee, and other documents which may be
required to secure a loan. The Credit Committee meets biweekly.
Unsecured
Loans
Personal loans may be
limited to 10% of members gross income up to $10,000.00.
Share Secured Loans
Members may pledge their
savings as security for a loan. Such loans are made at a reduced
interest rate. Members often gain by borrowing against their
savings rather than simply withdrawing their savings.
