Valdosta
Educators Credit Union was established in November 1972 in accordance
with the laws of the State of Georgia.
Board of Directors. The directors are
responsible to the membership for the operation of the credit union.
The board members elect a President, a Chairman and a Secretary whose
duties are outlined in the by-laws. There are twelve members of
the Board of Directors who meet monthly.
Supervisory Committee. The group examines
all credit union records, policies, conducts audit, and reports their
findings to the Board of Directors. There are four members of
the Supervisory Committee.
Credit Committee. This group reviews and
rules on loan applications submitted by members. The Credit
Committee also appoints Loan Officials who are authorized to approve
selected loan applications on behalf of the committee. There are
nine members of the Credit Committee who meet weekly to review loan
applications.
Staff. The
VECU office staff consists of a Manager/Treasurer, Assistant
Manager/Assistant Treasurer, Head Teller and Teller.
