Professional Examinations

Numerous professional examinations are given by appointment or according to the schedule of the educational or governmental institution. Scores from these examinations can be used towards candidates' attainment of a lettered designation in their field of occupation and/or for promotional purposes. The following is a partial list of professional examinations administered on the Valdosta State University campus:

  • POST - Peace Officer Standards and Training for the State of Georgia Department of Corrections
  • CSCS - National Strength and Conditioning Association
  • EGSA- Electrical Generating Systems Association
  • PES - Professional Examination Series
  • PROMETRIC - IT Certification, Academic, Governmental and Professional Licensure and Certification
  • PSB - Psychological Services Bureau - Health Careers Aptitude Tests
  • ICC - International Code Council
  • IFPS - International Fluid Power Society
  • TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
