GACE - Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators
The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) has contracted with National Evaluation Systems, Inc. (NES®), to assist in the development and administration of the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (GACE™). The purpose of the GACE is to assess the knowledge and skills of prospective Georgia public school educators. The GACE program helps the PSC meet its goal of ensuring that candidates have the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job of an educator in Georgia public schools. The GACE are aligned with state and national standards for educator preparation and with state standards for the P–12 student curriculum (Georgia Performance Standards). VSU is currently NOT a testing site for the GACE.

GMAT - Graduate Management Admission Test
The GMAT is administered at Valdosta State University through a computer-based format. The GMAT is normally a required test for admittance to MBA programs. The test is offered on most Monday's, Tuesday's, and Wednesday's.

GRE Subject Tests - Graduate Record Examinations
GRE Subject Tests score results are normally used as a requirement for graduate admission into some specific graduate programs. Please be sure to check with your graduate school of choice to ensure whether or not you need a GRE Subject Test for admission. The GRE Subject Tests are administered at Valdosta State University in a paper and pencil format three times during the testing year.
The GRE General Test is offered only through a computer-based format and is not administered at Valdosta State. However, the GRE General Test is offered at the Prometric Test Center in Valdosta. You may call 229-245-1069 for more information.

LSAT - Law School Admission Test
LSAT score results are used as a requirement for admission to law school. The exam is administered at Valdosta State University three to four times during the testing year.

MAT - Miller Analogies Test
MAT score results are used as a requirement for graduate admission primarily for Education programs. However, the MAT is also used for other graduate programs including (but not necessarily limited to) Library & Informataion Science, Nursing, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Sociology. Please be sure to check with your graduate school of choice to insure that the MAT is an acceptable graduate admissions test. The MAT is computer-based and takes approxiamately 1.5 hours to complete. The test is offered daily by appointment. Appointments may be made through our office by calling (229) 245-3878.

Praxis I & II Series
Valdosta State University is a national test center for the PRAXIS I & II Series. The series of programs include the PPST, Specialty Area/Subject Assessment, Academic Skills test, and others. The components of the test are also used as a Teacher certification requirement. Please check with your state certifying agency to make sure that the Praxis is accepted as a certification assessment. The exam is administered at Valdosta State University seven times during the testing year.
