GACE - Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators
The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) has contracted with National Evaluation Systems, Inc. (NES®), to assist in the development and administration of the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (GACE™). The purpose of the GACE is to assess the knowledge and skills of prospective Georgia public school educators. The GACE program helps the PSC meet its goal of ensuring that candidates have the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job of an educator in Georgia public schools. The GACE are aligned with state and national standards for educator preparation and with state standards for the P–12 student curriculum (Georgia Performance Standards).

VSU is NOT currentlya testing site for the GACE.

GMAT - Graduate Management Admission Test
The GMAT is now administered as a computer-adaptive test throughout North America and in many other parts of the world. The GMAT is a required test for admittance to a graduate degree program in Business. To register for this test please visit http://www.mba.com or call 1-800-GMAT-NOW

GRE - Graduate Record Examinations
The GRE test score results are used for graduate admission. The GRE General Test is offered only through a Computer-Based Testing format. For convenient scheduling, call 1 (800) GRE CALL or visit the website below. The GRE Subject tests are offered at Valdosta State University, in a paper and pencil format three times during the testing year.

LSAT - Law School Admission Test
The score results from the LSAT are for admission to a law school. The test is offered on the Valdosta State University campus during the following months: June, September, October, December, February

MAT - Miller Analogies Test
Test scores from the MAT are used as a requirement for admission to the graduate schools of Education and Nursing; as well as other graduate programs at Valdosta State University. The MAT is offered the following months at Valdosta State University in a group format or on an individual basis by appointment in: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.

PCAT - Pharmacy College Admission Test
The PCAT is administered three times during the testing year for admittance to Pharmacy schools. The PCAT is given in a paper-and pencil format. Testing months are: June, October, January

Praxis I & II Series
Valdosta State University continues to be a national test center for the PRAXIS I & II Series. The series of programs for Education requirements include the PPST, Specialty Area/Subject Assessment, and Academic Skills test, etc. The components of the test are also used as a Teacher certification requirement. The Valdosta State University administration test date months are:
August, September, November, January, March, April, June
