Based on the concept of the reality TV series Survivor, Valdosta State University proudly introduces the Ultimate Blazer Challenge. Deprived of basic comforts, exposed to tough mental and physical challenges, and your fate at the mercy of fellow competitors…what will it take to become VSU’s Ultimate Blazer?
For 3 days, 10 students will be “stranded” on Valdosta State University Property. They will be forced to band together and carve out a new existence, using their collective wits to make living in their rugged and primitive environment a little easier.
The Ultimate Blazer Challengers must form their own cooperative society, setting up camp, rationing food, and participating in contests for rewards. Those who succeed in the Challenges will be rewarded with things to make life in the game more bearable. Those who fail must do without.
Every few hours, the contestants must attend Tribal Council. At this meeting, each person votes secretly to send one fellow contestant home. The person with the most votes must leave their tribe immediately.
One by one, contestants are voted off, until at the end of the final night where only two contestants remain. At that point, the five most recently eliminated contestants will return to form the final Tribal Council and decide who will be the Ultimate Blazer – and win the Ultimate Prize!!
