Former ADPi Delta Theta President, Whitney Johnson, wins Woman of the Year

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Former Delta Theta President of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Whitney Johnson, wins the Woman of the Year award at Valdosta State University’s Greek awards ceremony in April.

Valdosta State University’s Greek Excellence awards ceremony was held on April 26, 2009. Awards were given to the Greek Organizations and its’ members that excelled in academics, leadership, and campus involvement for the 2008-2009 school year.

“I was absolutely astonished when my name was called for Woman of the Year,” said Johnson. “I worked very hard to instill a since of pride, positivity, and participation in the Delta Theta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi.”

Other awards present to Alpha Delta Pi were President’s Cup, Highest New Member GPA, and the Freshman award, presented to Jessica Ashcraft.

With the summer coming up and recruitment just around the corner, the sisters Alpha Delta Pi will work hard to continue to instill the “three P’s” in its members: Pride, Positivity, Participation.
