Our Sisterhood

The six founders of Alpha Delta Pi were joined together with the dream of creating a society based on the clasped hands of sisterhood and a lifelong pledge of friendship – “We Live For Each Other.” Friendship and sisterhood are the cornerstones of our society and our beliefs and ideals are as strong today as they were in 1851.

[Christmas Sisterhood] Sisters are there for each other through the good times and the bad. Going through college is a period full of discoveries about yourself. Having a sisterhood to fall back on for support is encouraging when going through a hard time or making a tough decision.

Furthering the sisterhood serves as the basis for many sisterhood activities to allow ADPis a chance to truly bond and connect on a deeper level. The Membership Education and Social team along with the Spirit and Intramural Chairs are devoted to organizing events just for ADPi sisters. Whether it is hosting a girl's night, going to the gym together, roasting marshmallows at a bon fire, holding a movie night, practicing for skit night, playing in a volleyball game or going out for a night of fun, ADPi’s bonds of sisterhood continually grow. This past semester, our annual retreat was held in the beautiful South Georgia countryside where girls gathered for a day filled with teambuilding activities and times to just relax and have fun. Sisters also plan road trips, spring break vacations, and summer break visits to sister’s homes.

One thing that is special about Delta Theta ADPis is that we are able to make any event an excuse to celebrate together! Sisters can be seen watching favorite television shows at the house, eating dinner together after chapter, watching basketball games, shopping at the mall or just talking in our living room. Any event on campus is an excuse to spend time together with our sisters! Sisterhood is truly the essence of Alpha Delta Pi.
