Sigma Nu

Founded in 1869, Sigma Nu represents three core values in which the foundation was layed upon; Love, Truth, and Honor. In coordinance with these fundamental values, Sigma Nu believes in the life-long development and improvement of brothers to become ethical leaders of society. Here at Valdosta State University, the Mu Nu chapter of Sigma Nu is always looking for new candidates that will bring their own unique talents and ideas to the chapter. The Brothers of Sigma Nu Fraternity are continuing to strive to be the best here at Valdosta State University. This past year has been full of hard work with academics and the community. This has been a tradition in our fraternity since our founding in 1996. We continue to have the most community service hours and the most philanthropy money raised on campus. We donate money to St. Judes Hospital every Fall with our “Male Review” that raised $900. Our annual “Bowling for Breast Cancer” that is donated to the Susan G. Komen Fund raised over $1,100 last spring. The brothers of Sigma Nu are encouraged to be involved on campus by joining other organizations on campus like Ducks Unlimited, Habitat for Humanity, College Republicans, SIFE, IFC, Order of Omega, National Honor Society, Club Soccer and the Student Government Association. The brothers are always working hard to attend other community service and philanthropy events to support other organizations on campus and to promote Greek unity on campus. Our chapter here is also known for excelling in athletic events like Greek Week which we have won seven out of the last nine years. We are very socially involved on campus as well with having events like our annual Christmas Cocktail, White Star Formal, and social events with other organizations. With the continuing hard work from the brothers of Sigma Nu, we will continue to strive to be the best here at Valdosta State University.
