Alpha Delta Pi

Alpha Delta Pi was founded May 15, 1851 in Macon, Georgia, at Wesleyan College. It was the first secret society for women. Alpha Delta Pi has initiated more than 210,000 women, many of whom are actively involved in one of our over 130 collegiate chapters or 150 alumnae associations throughout the United States and Canada. Alpha Delta Pi's open motto is "We live for each other".

The Alpha Delta Pi Chapter here at Valdosta State University is Delta Theta. Delta Theta hosts a basketball tournament every year called "Hoops and Hogs". It is called Hoops and Hogs because we also sell bar-b-que during the tournament. Delta Theta raised over 12,000 dollars last year in this event alone! All of the proceeds from this tournament go to their philanthropy the Ronald McDonald House, Delta Theta supports the Ronald McDonald House in Macon, Georgia.
