If you could have added or changed one thing about your sophomore year what would it have been?
Having a planner!!!!! Now that I have one I cannot function without it! By having a planner during my sophomore year I would have a better visual representation of when and how long I should prepare for an upcoming assignment, test, or project instead of waiting until the last minute! With a planner you can also see when your weekends are free for time to relax and have some fun!

If you could offer current sophomores one piece of advice what would that be?
Keeping all of your top priorities in perspective. Freshman year was fun and everyday was a new experience; however, during your sophomore year, you need to prioritize your academics first and extra activities second. Having good time management skills is key in order to have a successful second year of college.

What are some of the challenges you faced during your second year?
Realizing that sophomore year is quite different from your freshman year. Professors have higher expectations of you, which requires more studying and spending less time with friends. Focusing on maintaining a good GPA was stressful because there were times when I wanted to relax and hang out with my friends. I spent less time with friends and the library became my 2nd home!

Who/what has been the most influential person/moment in your college experience thus far?
Joining Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. has been an influential moment in my college experience so far. Joining a sorority allowed me to learn more about myself as an individual and gain lifelong friends that I can always depend on. Balancing academics, sorority life, and spending time with friends and family can be stressful at times; however, it can be done successfully with great time management skills!
