Campus Communications Board Meeting minutes 10/21/05
The new Campus Communications Board was called to order by Chair, Russ Mast. Members present were Jason Adams, Octavia Meyers, Charles Harmon, Robin Vickery, Dr. Pat Miller, Dr. Marty Williams, Jim Morgan, Dr. Michael Capece, and Russell Mast (chair).
Approval of Minutes: A request for a motion for the approval of the minutes from the September 21, 2005 meeting was made by Russ Mast (chair). The motion for approval was made by Robin Vickery and a second was made by Jason Adams.
Reports from Campus Media
- Odradek: Accepting applications for the Editors positions (3). Odradek is in the process of choosing Editors. Colin Kopel and Taylor Patterson, creative writing majors, have filled two of the three positions.
- WVVS: None
New Business: Bylaw changes- please see attached revision of the bylaws.
Miscellaneous
- Dean of Students Office, Student Life and Orientation & Leadership Programs will host the annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat for children 12 and under of VSU Faculty, Staff and Students on Thursday, October 27th from 5-6:30 pm in the University Union.
- University Union update: RFP should be completed within the next week or two.
- Stadium Committee will meet Friday, October 28, 2005.
- Intramural Fields should be completed by Fall 2006.
- Dr. Pat Miller asked the committee’s opinion of the removal of the calendar page from the Spectator. The committee consensus was to replace the calendar page.
- Centennial Celebration committee has met 3 times this semester and is the process of forming sub-committees.
- The next meeting time for the Campus Communications Board was set for Friday, December 2, 2005 at 12:00 PM in the Dean of Students Conference Room.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:35 PM.
