Student organization awards
Leadership Excellence
Each spring, Student Affairs honors student organizations that have demonstrated exceptional leadership this academic year. There are three areas of leadership awards for which an organization can be nominated. Anyone may nominate a registered student organization for these Leadership awards. There is no limit to the number of organizations one person may nominate. Self-nominations are accepted. To be eligible for the overall award, nominations in all three categories must be submitted. An organization must be in good standing with the University to be considered for an award.
A selection committee made up of VSU faculty, staff and community representatives choose the award recipients based on the areas of criteria listed within each award description. Members of the selection committee must not have a direct affiliation with any of our student organizations (i.e. advisor, alumni member).
